A Hauntingly Good Time

Reported Paranormal Activity at The Great Escape.

Team members at the restaurant have reported seeing a man in a black suit carrying a clip board walk into a closet and disappears. Others have reported the feeling that someone is standing right next to them when there wasn’t.

Others have noted walking through a very cold spot in a dark hallway, and the sounds of 1920′s music forming from the basement after hours. We have also experienced an antique radio playing without being touched and upon investigation it has been determined that there are no wires hooked up to it and the old tubes inside are burned out.

These events and more prompted one of our bartenders to seek out a team of paranormal investigators to validate the sighting that he had personally experienced. Upon Brian’s approval & two preliminary visits from the team leader of the Chicago Paranormal Detectives, it was arrange to have the full 10 person paranormal team come in and spend the night investigating. An amazing array of electronic equipment and the help of a Medium would assist them in their task. Be sure to stop in and hear the stories while sipping a cocktail in our bar!

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Was there last Thursday.  Broasted chicken was phenominal along with the ribs. Food was served super hot and fresh! Portions are big, I can eat and could not finish it all. The chilli is one of the best I've had! If I'm ever in Chicago again this will defiantly be restaraunt ill go to every time!

The several courses were delicious from the flavorful chicken soup, warm bread, house salad, at least three choices of side vegetables and choice of either perfectly crunchy fried chicken or prime rib.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is an interesting place. The bar dates back to the early 20th century. Service is routinely excellent. The food is consistently good and reasonably priced. The dining room is clean, if a little tired. All in all, a very good experience. I’ll be back there soon.

The staff, from the young lady at the entrance desk to the bartenders and waitresses, are friendly and accommodating!
